By whom and where it is produced?
Laouta soaps and their beneficial qualities is the result of a long journey full of gratifying experiences of the study and the good use of the wild herbs and other natural products of Karpathos, a beautiful small island in the southern region of the Aegean sea. They are produced in the Laouta farm from where most of the production material are gathered by Karin Lahana a chemist engineer of German descent with the help of her daughter Evi Lahana, a young horticulturalist.

Why are they special?
Laouta soaps are made of carefully chosen material from the virgin land of Karpathos. Extra virgin olive oil, wild herbs, natural sea clay, pure thyme honey and bee wax as well as pure goat milk. All of the components from which the Laouta soaps are made are widely known around the Mediterranean for their healing and cosmetic qualities.
The manufacturing procedure follows exclusively the traditional technical methods of production of the natural soap and the cold method of saponofication( soap making) that is characterized by the minimum of three-month period of soap maturing in a natural environment during which all the nutritious components of the raw material are preserved in contrast to the industrial manufactured soap. Moreover, contrary to other olive oil soaps the Laouta soaps contain 5% more virgin olive oil for more moisturizing and skin nourishment.

We should not forget that through the skin pores harmful substances can be absorbed which can cause long-term health problems.
The Laouta soaps do NOT contain neither synthetic, coloring substances, preservatives, parabens, synthetic glycerin nor any other kind of chemical substance.
The production procedure of Laouta soaps does not, in any way, burden the environment because there are zero wastes.
