Veria F.C. was founded in mid 1960 by the union of two groups of the city of Vermio and Hermes.

Veria's first appearance in the championship of the Second National were the period 1962-1963 which took the 6th place. After four years in the category in 1966 makes the plunge winning 1st place and goes to first division! Since then she was given the name 'Queen of the North "!

In the First Division will stay for three years and the period 1968-1969 would relegated to regain the rise the next year! This time Veria stayed only two years in the first category (1970 to 1972). From 1972 until 1977, is fighting the Second Division successfully and after the periods 1974-75 and 1975-76 loses the rise the last minute, the very next year copes!
