Viraggas, is a new traditional hotel situated on one of the oldest villages of Chalkidiki, Vrastama, in the Municipality of Polygyros in Macedonia.
In the place of the Mansion there was a twofloor building of the 19th century, in typical Macedonian Architecture, with the particular morphological and typological elements of the region. A titanic effort was made to be restored, but because of its intense deterioration and its perishable materials, it was decided that most of the building had to be demolished it and rebuilt it with modern materials, incorporated in a completely traditional wrapping.
The use of stone, timber and Kourasanit (traditional material for masonry) were mixed with love, knowledge and mainly taste, as it appears in each point of the building, where most of the wood constuction, were handcrafted by the householder an Architect Engineer..
