The holiday complex Ageras Santa Marina is located in the island of Lefkada, in a farmland 1500 m. away from the city of Lefkada and just 200 m. from the beach of Agios Ioannis, one of the most beautiful beaches of the western part of the island, which has been repeatedly rewarded with a blue flag and is mostly famous to everyone who is interested in water sport activities.
The farmland has been occupied for 100 years now by the proprietor’s family for the cultivation of the land as well as the breeding of animals.
The apartments (studios, ground floor apartment and duplexes) were constructed by the use of innovative materials (a special technique with stones in particular, which is quite unique in Greece) aiming at combining the beauty of tradition along with the functionality of the modern elements and they were established for the first time in the summer of 2010. The complex was completed in the summer of 2016 with the completion of a 70 sqm. two bedroom apartment, a windmill of 70 sqm. with two bedrooms and a swimming pool.
Due to the fact that this complex is located in the end of the olive grove and is very close to the seaside, the wind that is blowing at this part of the city is especially perceptible. In the past, they usually used the wind and its direction in order to predict the changes of the weather. Especially during the summer, the wind is like a sweet touch of mist and due to its location, we gave this complex the name of Ageras Santa Marina.
